Half Pallet Delivery

A half pallet can be cheaper than a full pallet when the goods genuinely fit the footprint and weight band, but it still needs the same practical checks as any pallet movement. CTS helps you give providers the dimensions, weight, route and access details so they can price the right service. Quotes come from the operators, not from CTS, and there is no obligation to proceed.

  • Private request. Your requirement is not posted to a public load board.
  • Operational fit. Vehicle, access, timing and handling needs shape the shortlist.
  • Buyer control. You compare responses and choose whether to proceed.

Half pallet delivery quotes for smaller consignments where footprint, height, weight and handling still matter.

Half pallet pricing is often misunderstood. The saving is not simply because the load looks smaller. Carriers price against a footprint, height, stackability, weight and how the pallet can be handled. If a half pallet is too tall, unstable, over the weight limit or cannot be moved safely with a pump truck, it may be priced as a larger or non-standard consignment. Clear dimensions stop the wrong tariff being assumed.

Half pallets are commonly used for boxed goods, samples, small wholesale orders, parts, displays and stock replenishment. Many carriers treat half pallets differently from quarter pallets, full UK pallets and Euro pallets, so the exact base size matters. Delivery access also matters: a half pallet can still need a tail lift, forklift, booked slot or residential surcharge. If the goods are fragile, high value, awkward, liquid, hazardous or temperature sensitive, say so before providers quote. CTS routes the request to providers who can assess the movement properly.

Use the quote form on this page to give CTS the practical details. Your request is handled privately, shared only with suitable providers and remains free for shippers with no obligation to appoint.

Common questions

Costs, details, suitability and how the CTS matching process works.

What size is a half pallet?
Many UK half pallets are around 1200 x 500 mm, but carriers may use their own size bands. Give the actual footprint, height and weight when requesting quotes.
Is half pallet delivery cheaper than full pallet delivery?
It can be, but only if the load fits the carrier's half-pallet rules. Height, weight, stackability, route and service speed all affect the price.
Can a half pallet go next day?
Often yes where the route and cutoff fit a network service. Urgent or awkward loads may need a dedicated vehicle instead.
Do half pallets need tail lift delivery?
They do if there is no forklift or dock and the pallet can be safely moved with a pump truck on firm, level ground.
Does CTS sell pallet delivery directly?
No. CTS shares your requirement with suitable providers. They assess the job and quote directly.
