Terms of Use

These terms of use govern your use of the Contract Transport Services website and matching service. By using the site you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About us and what we do

Contract Transport Services is a trading name of Box 4 Digital Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 11032071, with its registered address at Suite 114 Business First, Davyfield Road, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB1 2QY.

We are an introduction and matching service, not a transport operator or carrier. We help shippers describe a transport or distribution requirement and we introduce them to independent providers who may be able to meet it. We do not carry, store, handle or deliver goods, we do not employ the drivers or operate the vehicles, and we are not a party to any contract you enter into with a provider.

Provider checks and no guarantee of performance

We carry out reasonable checks on providers, which may include reviewing operator licence status and other information available to us at the time of listing. These checks are a starting point to help you, not a substitute for your own due diligence.

We do not guarantee the performance, quality, availability, pricing, conduct, solvency or ongoing compliance of any provider. Any contract for transport or distribution is made directly between you and the provider. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a provider is suitable, and for agreeing the terms, insurance, service levels and liabilities of that contract.

DVSA and licensing information

Where we refer to operator (O) licences, DVSA records or accreditations, this information comes from the provider or from public sources and is provided for general guidance only. Licensing status can change. You should verify a provider's current operator licence and compliance position directly, including via the Traffic Commissioners' public register, before appointing them.

Your responsibilities

  • You will give accurate information about your requirement or your company.
  • You will use the site lawfully and will not misuse it, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to send unsolicited marketing.
  • You are responsible for your own decisions about which provider, if any, to appoint.

Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the acts, omissions, performance or non-performance of any provider, or from any contract between you and a provider. We provide the site and matching service on a reasonable-efforts basis and do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with the site and service is limited to the amount, if any, you have paid us.

Intellectual property

The content, branding and design of this site belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission, except as allowed by law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is the one published on this page. These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
